Its been a While

Its been a while since i've updated... More than a week. Many things have happened since then. Some good, some bad, some very bad. Last week was very busy... i hardly had much time to rest. Do duty, come back, sleep, go for meeting, repeat. I finally got a good rest come monday and tuesday. Went out with a good friend for the first time in a very long time, had plenty of fun. I so miss going out with that friend. I shall not elaborate on the bad... there's enough crap going on in the world without me talking about more crap, that make no sense anyway.

So i'll talk about other rubbish. Like Sly and his very tatooed girlfriend/fiance/who knows what. Those two have been denying rumours like crazy. Then its found out that they actually registered for marriage. Then they cancelled it. Now they're together. Wait... they're not. Oh wait... The tatooed one suggested they are. No no no... Sly said its over and they're concentrating on their careers.. My goodness, they claim they're only taking a break, and are still together. Wait.. she says they're together if we think they are, and if we think they aren't they aren't? I'm getting all confused here... i feel like ripping that nose ring out of that chinese rocker's nose.

Of Wimbledon, Survivor and Amazing Race

What do Wimbledon, Survivor and Amazing race have in common? Nothing, except that i watched all 3.

Wimbledon was not bad a show. Kirsten Dunst(and we all know how much i love her) was a tennis player. A good looking one. A very good looking one. But that's besides the point. See, i believe that our Singapore Sports Council can learn some lessons from this movie. Especially on how to make a sportsman win. First, we need a candidate to win something big... and i think the most likely one will be our very own Ronald Susilo. Why? Simply put, as i have learnt from Wimbledon, the best way to win a competition is to have love to play for. And it helps a lot if your love is also a sportswoman, and even better if she is good looking. And guess out, our Ronald Susilo fits the bill to a T!

Sportsman who is in the world rankings... check. Sportsman(Susilo) with a cute sportswoman(Jiawei) as a part... check! We're all ready to win Ronald an olympic gold medal! Ok, here's how we gotta do it. Before every match Susilo is about to play, the night before we have to lock Jiawei in his room, without anything on. As the movie has proven, as long as the couple has sex BEFORE the guy's game, his game will improve by almost 100%. HOWEVER, this does NOT work with the girl's game, so make sure Susilo is NO WHERE near Jiawei the night before her game.

When Susilo starts his game, make sure Jiawei is ALWAYS in the stands to support him. She has to sit down somewhere where he can spot her easily before he starts playing. Then she has to wave to him. That is a must. It will make him play much, much better.

On the day of the finals, though, she must only come in halfway, when he is playing badly. This will make him play super well all of a sudden, after feeling so sad and all, then thrash him opponent well.

And that's how, according to Wimbledon the movie, we can finally get Singapore an Olympic gold medal.

Another show i watched was The Amazing Race, the one with Rob and Amber from Survivor in it. What i loved about it was that Rob was actually playing the Amazing Race Survivor style. For example, hetold one that he and Amber had a special coach which would leave half an hour earlier, but he paid the man at the counter not to tell anyone about it. Then that group went and told another group, who told another group. Soon, they confronted him about it, and he act blur and said he never lied. In the first place, there WAS no special coach they were going on, and they all went on the same coach. Another time he combined money with two other teams to bribe the bus driver to only open the front door, and leave the back door of the coach closed, thus giving them a headstart. But the good part is that Rob didn't pay his share, and just bribed the coach on the other team's money. Now that's crafty. Now that's entertainment.

Oscars? Nah, Natalie Portman!!!

I was one of the lucky ones to be able to catch the Oscars Live yesterday morning. Chris Rock was a great presenter, making me laugh all the way through. One of my favourite parts, though, was when he asked people on the street for their opinion on movies. And that made the most sense. See, he asked them if they've watched the Oscar nominated movies, which are :

Finding Neverland
The Aviator
Million Dollar Baby
Ray
Sideways

Most of them never watched the film, and instead loved other movies, like White Chicks. And honestly, they have a point! From the above mentioned films, the only one i've watched is Finding Neverland. While I enjoyed the move and all, it isn't really one to remember. And i don't really plan on watching the rest of them. Ask me what was my movie of 2004, and i'd say Dodgeball!!!! Now THAT was a great movie to remember! White Chicks was very funny. I loved Starsky and Hutch, and The Butterfly Effect rocked my world. This year? Spider Man 2 was the best. You know, the oscars don't matter. What matter is what earns money. And the above mentioned movies were all top earnings, matching if not surpassing the oscar nominated movies. it doesn't matter if your earn an oscar or not. I don't really care. But you know what's good about the oscars? The Red Carpet. Natalie Portman, to be precise. Ah...
