I'm That Good!

So yesterday, while i was on standby at my firepost, i was flipping through the newspapers. While reading the Straits times, the section Digital Life drops out. Ah, digital life. I've never been an IT fan, honestly. I studied IT in poly, yes. I did pretty well, if i say so myself. But i've never been interested in the hardware, in the specs, in anything basically. I could program pretty well, but other than that, my IT skills are close to ziltch. I flip to the back page, and start reading from there. I always do that. With LIFE section, the entertainment bits at the back are the most interesting. With the Newpaer, its always soccer first, then entertainment. With Digital Life, its straight to the games section. Serious Sam. Bad review, probably for a bad game. Ah, well. I was hoping for something newer. Quick skim through the rest of digital. Pause for a moment at the blogging section, to see if there's anyone i know there. Lets see... kababoom... wait a minute...

WAIT A FREAKING MINUTE!!!!

THAT'S MY BLOG!!!!!

I gave a shriek, causing all my firefighter friends to turn and stare at me. I start rambling on about how my blog actually was featured in the newspaper. Goodness me! I was in SHOCK! I mean, never in a thousand years would i ever suspect that MY blog would be featured in the newspaper! One of my friend's blog has been too, but hey, her blog is frequented by quite a few people. Me? i've done next to nothing on this space!

I guess i wouldn't consider myself a serious blogger. Other people have many reasons why they blog. An ego boost, for some, if they get many hits. I never cared. There was a time when i updated practically everyday, some days more than once. But that was then. After a while, my blog more or less died because of my extreme laziness. I'm not a frequent updater, as everyone can see. I blog purely for fun, when i find it enjoyable to publish something. I know i have few readers... for how many people frequent a blog that updates, if lucky, once a month? Neither do i do what i call blogwhoring, where people hop over to someone else's blog, and leave a comment saying its a nice blog, come and see mine. I don't. Because i'm plain too lazy. If i have nothing to say, i won't say anything. No sense slamming stuff for nothing.

But strangely enough, even with my super infrequent updates, i've been tomorrowed twice, and now even featured in the newspaper. I don't think i deserve it, honestly. There are tons of people out there who update so much more frequently, and post such good stuff, that deserve to get featured more.

So either,

A : I am that lucky to get tomorrowed and featured in the papers,

or

B : I am that good a blogger that i don't need to write much to get featured.

I think i'll go with B =P
