KaBaBoom, the Househusband?
In the TODAY forum pages, there's quite a bit of commotion a while ago about stay-at-home men. They were talking about whether that makes you a man, whether its feasible nowadays, whether men were willing to do it, blah blah blah.
I say... let the women stay at home. Wait wait wait... before all the females crucify me, let me explain. I am a firm believer a child needs a full time mother. A mother that will always be there for him/her in the all-important childhood. To bring up the kid in the way of God. Extremely crucial role. So, if possible, if i ever have kids, i will insist that my wife stays at home to look after them. Its a necessary role, i believe, for the sake of the kids. Nothing can replace a Godly mother.
Of course, i'm not so rigid lah. If circumstances are such that... hmm... perhaps my wife turns out to be a doctor earning 10k a month, and i'm a teacher earning 2k, then OF COURSE i will not insist that my wife stay at home while i work. I will stay at home and bring up the kids, while my wife works and earns the money.
But i wonder... me as a stay-at-home husband? Is that ever going to work? Half the time i'll be slacking away. My wife is probably not going to get a good dinner. The house will be like my room(!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!). The kids will turn to be chronic computer game players.
Maybe its not that good an idea after all....

but then you go on to declare that

which either makes you a passive aggressive emotional blackmailer (oh I would do it, but I would be so bad at it, you better do it instead) or a really lazy bum who cannot do simple chores!
So which one is it?
