In The New Paper on Sunday there are, quite appropriately, plenty of articles on mothers. Succesful mothers, suffering mothers. There's a story about a Malay mother who's divorced her husband, living on a 2k salary with 4 kids. I'm not really sure why, but malay people always have plenty of kids(the government should learn their secret and teach it to the chinese) no matter what they're income is. i've read of couples with a stay-at-home wife and a husband earning only about 1.5k and they have like 5 kids. And they're suffering, and i'm not surprised. I guess they really love kids.. but even then, to have so many when you can't afford it is a little bit much don't you think? I'm not judging them. If they're happy, so be it. but i know that if i ever get married no way i'm having any more than 2 kids. Of course, accidents do happen, and it really is up to the woman whether she really wants to go through all that pain, getting fat and stretch marks blah blah blah. We guys just have it easy.

Speaking of which.. apparently Wong Li Lin is has gotten married six months ago and is four months pregnant. Allan's Wu-man is the horrible headline that went alone with it. *shudder*. Anyway, so the beautiful girl is pregnant! What say you some slimming center signs her on after she gives birth?

Anyway, another article in The New Paper is about a single mother who had a kid at 17. She's now 20, with a 3 yr old kid. I'm not belittling her plight, or even going to say that she had a choice whether or not to sleep with her boyfriend and this is the consequence of not practicing safe sex(or the condom spoiling). Oh wait, i said it. Oh well. But that's not my point. She is quite poor thing, having to support a kid since 17 when most girls are still in school and collecting pocket money from parents. She's struggling, and i feel sorry for her.

HOWEVER.... the article also mentioned that in order to make up for the time she doesn't spend with her 3 yr old, she buys branded clothes worth TWO HUNDRED DOLLARS for her. For goodness sake, does a 3 year old kid even CARE about branded clothes? They don't even care about clothes in the first place. Man, if you're struggling on a 1k salary with a kid to support, the last thing you wanna do is buy branded clothes for your 3 yr old!!!
