Sepp Blatter has created a whole lot of controversy yesterday in the newspapers. See, he has come out and requested that female soccer players wear less to sex up the sport, bringing up volleyball and tennis as examples. Sepp Blatter is the president of the FIFA, the football authority of the world. Expectedly, a ton of female football players slammed it, and him. They say that if they wanted to show off their body and show in a bikini, they would play beach volleyball. Volleyball players admit that they wear skimpy outfits to attract men to their sport. Vicky Botwright, a squash player, actually requested that she play the British Open in a sports bra and a thong. She was turned down, but proceeded to pose for photos in said thong in a squash court. Generally, many female sports have them wearing much, much less than the males, from rugby to tennis. And they admit that this does attract male attention to the sport, albeit not totally for their skill. But does soccer need that? People do watch female soccer for their skill. But if they did wear less, like rugby(honestly, which man would want to watch girls in one piece suits trying to tackle each other and grabbing the said suit?), more men would watch it. Is there anything wrong with that?

Well, i don't really care either way, cos i don't support woman's soccer, but if they did wear less, i may be tempted to watch them, just like i don't watch beach volleyball for the beach volleyball. hehe. although the sport may lose its respect, like beach volleyball isn't taken that seriously, although i don't doubt the skill.
