I reported earlier, in November of 2003, about the alledged gang rape of a 17 year old girl. She claimed that 8 men from the Premier League gang raped her in a hotel room. She said that she had agreed to sex with one man, but not the rest, but they didn't care. However, later, she changed her story from 8 men to 4 men, and only 2 of them footballers, after being confronted with the evidence that the other 4 were not involved.

'Today, we have been informed by the CPS that there is insufficient evidence for a realistic prospect of conviction in this case.

'As such the four men arrested during the course of this investigation will face no further action by police in connection with this matter.'

The two footballers were let free, along with the party organiser and his friend. The girl was furious and devastated at this, and said she planned on prosecuting them privately.

Basically, the girl has just lost all her credibility. Who will believe her now? From claiming she was gang raped by 8 people, all 'famous premier league players, one of them an England international', to 4 premier league players, to 2 premier league players, party organiser and his friend. I find it hard to believe that after the rape, she could find it so easy to name all 8 premier league players, but not realise that only 2 of them actually were involved with her. And the 2 weren't even big stars. Just promising English players Titus Bramble and Carlton Cole. And now they're declared innocent, and will go on living their over-paid footballer lives, while the girl will live in shame after losing all her integrity, credibility and respect. I pity the girl.
