Singapore hardly makes international news. but when it does, its usually about our unusually tough laws on sex and other matters. For example, the Shankar Aiyar case has attracted attention on Reuters, enough, in fact, for it to be considred odd news. Then again, ang mos aren't really used to caning as a punishment, so i guess it could be that.
