Guandong denies have second sars case. Its first sars case has left the hospital, and most of the people in quarentine have been released. Now, sars is a deadly disease, and i'm not surprised that people are afraid of it. The fact that it has no cure yet makes it even worse. But what i don't like is how over hyped it is. One case, and the WHO(world health organisation) has to come out and say that they are not making any travel advisories yet. One case, and they're killing thousands of civet cats, which are only RUMOURED to carry the sars virus. its not even proven yet. kinda makes you think what's so deadly about sars.

SARS, during its most deadly days, killed less than a thousand people. In fact, the infections were a few thousand only. As of September 2003, 8000 sars cases had been confirmed, and 774 people have died worldwide. I don't have the numbers, but i can tell you that 99% of asians have never contracted sars, and never will. There are so many other killers out there. why are we so concerned about this one? i'm not against the quarentine. by all means, quarentine people. A death is a death. but please, killing civet cats, getting all scared over ONE sars case is a little much.
